Objective: The organization is seeking a Senior Drupal Application Tester to lead Quality Assurance efforts for complex Drupal-based websites. Responsibilities include developing test strategies and plans, creating manual and automated test scripts, coordinating testing activities across stakeholders, and introducing tools for testing and auditing. The role also involves establishing standardized QA processes, procedures, and policies to improve testing maturity and consistency.
Overview: The organization operates and supports hundreds of public-facing and internal websites, serving over 10,000 users. The primary web platform is Drupal, complemented by legacy applications that support web operations and enhance functionality across the enterprise.
The selected Senior Drupal Application Tester will support development teams by troubleshooting and resolving issues across web applications, databases, and CMS platforms using technologies such as HTML5, JavaScript, CSS3, .NET, Drupal, SharePoint, SQL, and PHP. Additionally, the role requires providing analytical support, reporting, and clear communication of technical findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. The position plays a key role throughout the Software Development and Testing Lifecycle, including issue analysis, impact assessment, and recommending solutions to enhance product quality, system performance, and overall operational effectiveness.
Position Responsibilities
- Perform manual and automated testing for Drupal 10.x and 11.x environments
- Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, and QA documentation
- Conduct regression testing following updates, patches, and deployments
- Validate functionality, content accuracy, workflows, and user permissions
- Test integrations, third-party modules, and data processing (forms, search, media, taxonomies)
- Support Drupal version migrations, ensuring data integrity and functional parity
- Ensure cross-browser compatibility and responsive design compliance
- Validate accessibility compliance (WCAG 2.1 Level AA / Section 508) and resolve defects
- Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to troubleshoot and resolve issues
- Participate in requirements, design reviews, and planning sessions to ensure testability
- Recommend and implement QA process improvements and best practices
Position Qualifications
- 10+ years of IT experience, including 4+ years testing Drupal-based websites
- Strong expertise in functional, regression, usability, and performance testing
- In-depth knowledge of accessibility standards (Section 508, WCAG 2.1/2.2) and testing tools (e.g., JAWS, NVDA)
- Proficiency with QA and automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, browser developer tools)
- Experience with defect tracking and test management tools (e.g., Jira, ClickUp)
- Hands-on experience testing Drupal features, including content types, taxonomies, workflows, modules, and themes
- Experience testing integrations, third-party APIs, and complex web applications
- Working knowledge of HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript
- Ability to quickly learn new technologies and adapt to changing priorities
- Bachelor s degree in IT, Computer Science, MIS, or related field (or equivalent experience)
