AI Data Architect (Remote)

About this role

What we're looking for:

• We need someone with 10+ years of data engineering/architecture experience who has designed and deployed production AI/ML systems end-to-end on AWS. You should be comfortable working in a consulting environment with direct client-facing responsibilities and have a track record of architecting scalable data solutions that delivered measurable business impact. Bonus points if you have healthcare or financial services domain experience and AWS certifications.

What you'll do:

• Architect and build an agentic AI system from scratch for a major healthcare provider, owning the solution end-to-end from design through production deployment
• Design scalable data architectures using AWS services (Bedrock, Lambda, OpenSearch, Step Functions, Glue, EMR, Athena, Redshift) that balance cost, performance, and business needs
• Work directly with enterprise clients and AWS stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions, navigating ambiguity and setting expectations proactively
• Build and optimize data pipelines, ETL processes, and ML/AI workflows including LLM orchestration, RAG implementations, and multi-agent systems
• Establish data architecture best practices and standards across multiple teams, mentoring junior and mid-level data engineers
• Consult with business stakeholders at Director+ level, communicating technical trade-offs and architectural decisions clearly to non-technical audiences
• Leverage AI-forward coding tools (Claude, Cursor) daily to deliver higher-quality work at pace
