The Product Manager in Product Readiness is responsible for coordinating and executing User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and Hypercare activities to ensure products are operationally ready for production release. This role focuses on planning, governance, communication, and metrics across UAT and post-release stabilization.
The role reports to a Senior Product Manager, who owns overall release readiness and go/no-go decisions. The Product Manager drives day-to-day readiness execution in close partnership with Product, Engineering, Business, and Support teams.
Primary Responsibilities (Essential Functions):
Key Responsibilities
· Plan and manage UAT timelines (4–5 weeks pre-release) aligned to release schedules
· Prepare Test Plans to align with release objectives in coordination with work stream Product management team.
· Assist with data setup requirements prior to the start of UAT
· Establish Entry/Exit criteria for UAT – ahead of start of UAT.
· Coordinate UAT readiness activities including:
o Tester communications and onboarding
o Access request submission and tracking
o Validation of required roles and permissions
· Support definition and execution of End-to-End (E2E) UAT scenarios
· Drive daily UAT execution, tracking:
o Script execution and completion rates including retesting where applicable
o Defects, risks, user training, process, and missed/newly identified requirements to appropriate closure
· Prepare and distribute daily UAT status updates to stakeholders
· Define and enforce standard UAT templates and governance across workstreams
· Execute UAT completion procedures including obtaining required sign offs, verifying against exit criteria and proper disposition for any remaining items (bugs, backlog etc)
· Support Hypercare execution (3–8 weeks post-release), including:
o Defect triaging facilitation, logging and tracking
o Providing regular stabilization and trend reporting
· Escalate readiness risks and issues to the Senior Product Manager with clear data and context on a daily basis.
Basic Required Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree
· 5-10 years of experience in Product/Project Management, Program Management, or Release/UAT coordination
· Hands-on experience supporting UAT and post-production Hypercare in complex environments
· Strong organizational, communication, and execution skills
· Excellent project management skills and demonstrated competency in managing simultaneous execution of multiple projects and workstreams within the program
· Excellent facilitation, negotiation skills, verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills; the ability to communicate effectively at all levels and to all functional groups; the ability to translate technical requirements and issues into appropriate context
· History of ability to maintain flexibility, multi-task, and deliver results in a deadline driven environment
Preferred Qualifications:
· Experienced in managing digital programs involving web portal development, deployment, enhancements and their integration with other applications
· Experience managing all aspects of solution delivery including requirements gathering, scope definition, resource planning, budget management, status reporting, risk management, release management, organization change management and change control
· Results driven by the ability to combine strong quantitative foundation with business acumen
· Demonstrated experience managing vendors to assist in or solely drive project delivery
· Strong business acumen across multiple business functions (e.g. Sales, Operations, Finance, Human Resources, etc.)
