Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled Frontend Engineer with strong JavaScript development experience to join our team working on on-device communication platforms. The team builds and supports subscription-based applications across multiple devices including X1, Flex, Xumo TV, Stream Box, and other connected platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance frontend user experiences for subscription-based device applications.
• Work closely with engineering teams to design, build, and maintain scalable frontend solutions.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Pull and work on user stories from the backlog, ensuring timely delivery within 2-week sprint cycles.
• Write high-quality code, conduct code reviews, and maintain coding standards.
• Support CI/CD pipelines using Concourse CI and assist with logging, monitoring, and automated release processes.
• Provide production support and participate in on-call rotations (approximately every 3 months).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver seamless customer-facing experiences across multiple devices.

Required Skills

• 5 8 years of professional engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript and frontend development.
• Experience working with modern JavaScript frameworks (Lightning framework experience preferred but not mandatory).
• Hands-on experience with Concourse CI or similar CI/CD tools.
• Experience with logging systems and automated release processes.
• Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
• Proven experience supporting production systems and operational environments.

Nice to Have

• Experience with AWS cloud services.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes or containerized environments.

Day-to-Day Activities

• Work on frontend engineering tasks and user story implementation.
• Build and improve customer-facing UI experiences across supported devices.
• Participate in code development, testing, and peer reviews.
• Collaborate with engineers and product teams to refine and implement features.

Manage and resolve issues from the engineering backlog.
