Position: Facilities Engineer

About the Role
We are seeking a Facilities Engineer to support the planning, design, maintenance, and enhancement of industrial and manufacturing facilities. In this role, you will be responsible for developing engineering solutions, preparing technical documentation, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring the successful execution of facility improvement and expansion projects.
The ideal candidate will have experience in electrical engineering design for manufacturing or industrial environments, strong CAD proficiency, and the ability to deliver complete engineering packages from concept through implementation.
Responsibilities
Plan, design, and oversee the installation, modification, maintenance, and upgrade of facility infrastructure and electrical systems.
Evaluate facility and equipment requirements by gathering and analyzing technical specifications, regulatory requirements, budget constraints, project schedules, and construction feasibility.
Develop engineering designs, layouts, and technical documentation for facility improvement and expansion projects.
Collaborate with architecture and engineering partners to establish design criteria and prepare detailed drawings and specifications.
Prepare and review engineering packages, scope documents, bid packages, and construction-related contracts.
Develop project cost estimates including equipment, materials, labor, installation, and construction activities.
Coordinate with internal stakeholders, contractors, and vendors to ensure project objectives are met.
Monitor construction and installation activities to verify compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, quality standards, and project schedules.
Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on facility reliability, safety, efficiency, and operational excellence.
Ensure designs and installations comply with applicable electrical codes, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
2+ years of experience in industrial, manufacturing, or facilities engineering.
Ability to read, interpret, and execute engineering drawings, schematics, and technical specifications.
Strong understanding of CAD systems and engineering documentation practices.
Experience designing or supporting electrical systems within industrial or manufacturing facilities.
Experience delivering comprehensive engineering design packages and project documentation.
Knowledge of applicable electrical codes, standards, and best practices.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project coordination skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting facility expansion, renovation, or capital improvement projects.
Familiarity with power distribution, substations, lighting systems, and industrial electrical infrastructure.
Experience working with contractors, consultants, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
Knowledge of project estimation, procurement, and construction management processes.
