Role Summary
We are seeking a hands-on AI Pre-Sales Leader who specializes in rapid demo and prototype creation and can apply Generative AI, Agentic AI, and Machine Learning to Mortgage, Lending, and Banking use cases.
This role sits at the intersection of sales, product thinking, and engineering. You will partner closely with Sales, AI Engineering, and Industry SMEs to translate ambiguous business problems into compelling AI prototypes, lead deep technical conversations with sophisticated buyers, and materially influence deal outcomes through working software, not slideware.
The ideal candidate is a builder and lateral thinker—someone who may not start with deep mortgage domain expertise but can quickly internalize industry concepts and create novel, credible AI-driven approaches that resonate with both business and technical stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
1. Rapid AI Demo & Prototype Development (Core Responsibility)
- Design and build working AI demos and prototypes—often within days—to support live sales pursuits, executive briefings, and technical deep dives.
- Create GenAI- and Agentic AI–driven applications, including:
- Document intelligence (OCR, NLP, extraction, summarization)
- AI agents for workflow orchestration and decision support
- ML models for prediction, classification, and optimization
- Balance speed vs. credibility, producing demos that are technically sound while optimized for sales velocity.
2. Technical Pre-Sales & Buyer Engagement
- Serve as the primary technical counterpart in pre-sales conversations with:
- Mortgage technology leaders
- Bank architects and data leaders
- AI/ML, platform, and engineering buyers
- Lead architecture discussions, demo walk-throughs, and whiteboarding sessions covering:
- GenAI architectures
- Agentic AI patterns
- Data pipelines and ML workflows
- Confidently explain what is feasible vs. impractical, grounding conversations in real engineering constraints.
3. Industry Use Case Translation (Mortgage & Banking)
- Rapidly internalize mortgage and banking workflows (e.g., origination, servicing, underwriting, compliance, customer servicing).
- Translate these workflows into AI-first solution concepts, even when requirements are loosely defined.
- Create new approaches rather than recycling generic industry playbooks.
4. Sales Enablement & Deal Support
- Partner with Sales to:
- Shape technical solution narratives
- Influence deal strategy and scope
- Support late-stage technical validation
- Contribute to RFP responses, solution outlines, and technical sections where differentiation matters.
- Support executive-level presentations by anchoring narratives in real demos and artifacts, not abstractions.
5. Reusable Assets & Accelerators
- Build and refine reusable demo frameworks, reference architectures, and AI accelerators that improve pre-sales efficiency over time.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure pre-sales prototypes can transition cleanly into delivery when deals close.
6. Thought Leadership & Storytelling
- Act as a credible technical storyteller, capable of:
- Explaining complex AI concepts clearly
- Tailoring messaging to business vs. technical audiences
- Occasionally support blogs, talks, or internal enablement sessions focused on applied AI in financial services.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in AI, ML, data engineering, or advanced analytics, including production-grade work.
- Demonstrated experience in pre-sales, solution architecture, or technical consulting, with direct customer interaction.
- Strong proficiency in Python and modern data/ML tooling (e.g., notebooks, APIs, model frameworks).
- Practical experience with Generative AI and LLM-based systems, including prompt design, retrieval, orchestration, or agent frameworks.
- Solid understanding of cloud-native architectures (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform), including data services and deployment patterns.
- Exceptional presentation and communication skills, with the ability to lead unscripted technical discussions.
Preferred (but Not Required)
- Prior experience in mortgage, lending, or banking (nice to have, not mandatory).
- Exposure to agent frameworks, orchestration layers, or multi-agent systems.
- Experience building executive-facing demos that influence buying decisions.
- Background in startups, R&D, or innovation teams where ambiguity is high and speed matters.
What Success Looks Like in This Role
- Deals progress faster because buyers can see and interact with real AI solutions early.
- Sales teams rely on you as a technical differentiator, not a checkbox architect.
- Customers describe your demos as “novel,” “credible,” and “thought-provoking.”
- Your prototypes frequently evolve into delivery accelerators or reference implementations.
Roles & Responsibilities
Top 3 must-have responsibilities:
1. Ability to rapidly build demos & prototypes using Generative/Agentic AI
2. Ability to re-engineer business processes to extensively use AI.
3. Lead pre-sales efforts: proposals, AI workshops, discovery sessions.
