Assistant Project Manager

This contract role supports a Program Manager in a PMO environment with a Fortune 100 client. The contractor will help manage smaller, short-term workstreams and keep project information organized and moving. Day-to-day work includes coordinating status reports, collecting data, rolling up risks and issues, and sharing updates with the PM Lead. The role needs strong project delivery skills, the ability to work across functions, and comfort handling multiple moving pieces. Experience with Workday or a Workday implementation is ideal. This is a remote position with preferred work hours of 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM EST.

Essential Skills:




- Experience with Workday or a Workday implementation

- Intermediate to advanced MS Project skills

- Strong MS Office skills, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

- Experience with Agile project delivery

- Experience managing end-to-end workstream delivery

- Experience managing medium to large complex projects

- Ability to work across functions and build working relationships




Plusses:




- Experience supporting HCM projects

- Experience supporting SaaS projects

- PMP not required

- Experience escalating risks and issues
