We are seeking a highly skilled SharePoint Senior Developer with strong hands-on experience building enterprise SharePoint applications, SPFx solutions, SharePoint migrations, Azure integrations, and Power Platform solutions.
The ideal candidate has extensive SharePoint Online development experience and a proven track record migrating SharePoint On-Premises environments to SharePoint Online, including large document libraries with complex metadata, permissions, and version histories. Familiarity with Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Studio, or Azure AI is an advantage but not mandatory.
The Senior Developer builds and delivers solutions under the technical direction of the SharePoint Technical Architect, who owns solution design and migration strategy. The developer carries out the build, scripting, and migration work, contributes to design decisions, and may guide less experienced developers.
1 SharePoint and SPFx Development
• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise SharePoint Online applications and customizations.
• Build custom SPFx web parts and extensions using React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Use Fluent UI, PnPjs, and PnP Reusable Controls, and manage the SPFx/Node.js toolchain and version upgrades.
• Build SPFx solutions for Microsoft Teams and Viva Connections, including Adaptive Card Extensions.
• Develop reusable components, dashboards, custom interfaces, forms, and business applications.
• Integrate SharePoint through SharePoint REST APIs, Microsoft Graph APIs, PnP libraries, and other enterprise services.
• Customize SharePoint lists, document libraries, modern pages, navigation, and content management features.
• Configure search, including managed properties and PnP Modern Search web parts.
• Package and deploy solutions through the tenant or site collection app catalog.
• Build accessible interfaces that meet WCAG 2.1 AA / Section 508.
• Write automated unit tests (for example, Jest) for SPFx and TypeScript code.
• Debug application, performance, deployment, and integration issues; follow code and version-control standards.
2 SharePoint Migration and Large Library Handling
• Execute SharePoint On-Premises to SharePoint Online migrations, including assessments, mapping, execution, testing, and validation.
• Migrate content from SharePoint Server 2013, 2016, 2019, and Subscription Edition, as well as file shares, OneDrive, Box, or Google Drive.
• Analyze legacy C#/.NET farm solutions, full-trust code, and CSOM customizations, and rebuild required functionality using SPFx, Power Platform, or Azure.
• Demonstrate hands-on experience migrating large libraries with high document counts and substantial content volumes.
• Migrate metadata, content types, permissions, document version history, nested folders, SharePoint lists, and site content.
• Use ShareGate, SPMT, Migration Manager, or comparable migration tools.
• Develop PowerShell / PnP PowerShell migration scripts and automate bulk migration, batching, incremental loads, and delta synchronization.
• Resolve migration errors, service limits and throttling, path limitations, permission mismatches, and performance issues.
• Reconcile migrated content using document counts, metadata comparisons, version checks, and permission validation; support cutover and stabilization.
• Optimize SharePoint library design, views, indexing, search, and document retrieval at scale.
3 Power Platform Development
• Develop and maintain Power Apps and Power Automate solutions integrated with SharePoint.
• Build complex approvals, notifications, and automated business workflows.
• Integrate with Dataverse, connectors, and external systems; modernize legacy SharePoint Designer workflows and InfoPath forms.
• Troubleshoot Power Platform issues and manage application lifecycle using solutions, environment variables, connection references, and Power Platform pipelines.
4 Azure Cloud Development
• Implement SharePoint integrations using Azure Functions, Logic Apps, Azure Storage, App Service, and Key Vault.
• Develop REST API integrations and Microsoft Entra ID–based authentication.
• Use least-privilege app registrations (for example, Sites.Selected), certificate-based authentication, and managed identities.
• Add logging and monitoring with Application Insights.
• Build cloud automation components and support deployments using Azure DevOps, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
5 AI Technologies | Good to Have
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Studio, Azure OpenAI, or other Azure AI services.
• Exposure to AI-powered solutions connected to SharePoint content or document libraries used as agent knowledge sources.
• Basic understanding of RAG, semantic search, Microsoft Graph AI integrations, and AI-powered document retrieval.
• Knowledge of Azure AI Search, Azure AI Document Intelligence, or AI-based business automation.
6 SharePoint Administration and Technical Delivery
• Configure sites, libraries, lists, metadata, content types, permissions, hub sites, and modern SharePoint experiences.
• Troubleshoot production issues and application performance; support enhancements and releases.
• Work with architects, project managers, analysts, and business stakeholders to estimate and deliver technical solutions.
• Perform code reviews, unit testing, integration testing, UAT support, deployment documentation, and knowledge transfer.
• Take part in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, estimate work items, and track tasks in Azure DevOps Boards or similar tools.
• Support migration cutovers, which may include scheduled after-hours or weekend work.
Mandatory Technical Requirements
• 7+ years of hands-on SharePoint development, including 3+ years of SPFx experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Strong React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS skills, including Fluent UI and PnPjs; delivery of custom SPFx web parts and extensions.
• Proven experience developing in SharePoint Online and SharePoint On-Premises.
• Working knowledge of C#/.NET and CSOM, enough to read, troubleshoot, and replace legacy server-side customizations.
• Hands-on SharePoint On-Premises to SharePoint Online migration experience, including large document libraries.
• Experience preserving complex metadata, permissions, versions, content types, and folder structures during migration.
• Experience with ShareGate, SPMT, or equivalent tools; strong PowerShell and PnP PowerShell scripting skills.
• Strong SharePoint REST API and Microsoft Graph API development skills.
• Hands-on Power Apps and Power Automate development experience.
• Working knowledge of Azure Functions, Logic Apps, cloud integrations, and Microsoft Entra ID.
• Experience with Git, Azure DevOps, CI/CD, automated unit testing, debugging, and performance optimization.
• Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Studio, Azure OpenAI, or Azure AI services exposure (good to have).
• Understanding of RAG and AI-based document search; exposure to Azure AI Search or Azure AI Document Intelligence.
• Experience integrating SharePoint with Dynamics 365, Dataverse, or third-party systems.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Purview (sensitivity labels, DLP, retention), SharePoint governance, and compliance practices.
• Experience building for Microsoft Teams and Viva Connections.
• Experience delivering accessible (WCAG 2.1 AA / Section 508) user interfaces.
• Microsoft certifications such as Azure Developer Associate (AZ-204) or Power Platform Developer Associate (PL-400).
• Clear communication with architects, project managers, analysts, and business users.
• Ability to work independently, estimate accurately, and raise risks early.
• Thorough technical documentation and knowledge-transfer habits.
• Willingness to mentor junior developers and share reusable code.
A hands-on SharePoint developer who can independently develop complex SPFx solutions, execute enterprise SharePoint migrations, handle high-volume document libraries, and deliver Power Platform and Azure integrations. Exposure to Microsoft AI technologies is a valuable differentiator but not a prerequisite.
