Job SummaryThe Data Engineer is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable data management systems. This role ensures data solutions meet business and technical requirements while adhering to industry best practices. The position also involves evaluating new approaches to data acquisition, transformation, and usage.
Primary Responsibilities- Design, build, test, and maintain scalable data management and integration systems
- Develop and enhance ETL pipelines, including performance optimization and reliability improvements
- Build data products that enable downstream consumption and analytics
- Ensure data systems meet organizational requirements and industry standards
- Integrate emerging data management and software engineering technologies into existing platforms
- Establish and maintain processes for data mining, modeling, and data production
- Develop custom software components and analytics applications as needed
- Research and identify new use cases for existing data assets
- Utilize multiple programming languages and tools to connect and integrate systems
- Collaborate with data engineers, data architects, IT teams, and other stakeholders to support project goals
- Implement and maintain disaster recovery procedures
- Recommend and implement improvements to enhance data quality and reliability
Qualifications - Technical degree or equivalent related work experience
- 4+ years of experience working with Snowflake in a data engineering or data warehousing environment
- Experience with relational and non-relational databases (e.g., SQL, MySQL, NoSQL, Hadoop, MongoDB)
- Build and enhance ETL pipelines across both on-premises and cloud environments
