Onsite in Cincinnati, OH

The organization seeks a Data Engineer III to develop, test, and monitor high-quality ETL and ELT solutions for time-sensitive, enterprise initiatives. The role will build and optimize pipelines using IBM DataStage, Snowflake, dbt, and MettleCI with an emphasis on code quality, data accuracy, and reliability. The position will collaborate with cross-functional partners and adhere to governance and coding standards to deliver scalable data solutions. The contractor will contribute quickly to critical milestones while maintaining operational rigor.

Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.

Rate: $60.00 to $70.00/hr. w2

Responsibilities:
  • Design, build, test, and maintain scalable data management systems and pipelines.
  • Develop high-performance algorithms, predictive models, prototypes, and custom software components to support analytics and data processing needs.
  • Ensure data systems adhere to business requirements, governance standards, and industry best practices.
  • Build and optimize ETL and ELT pipelines using IBM DataStage, Snowflake, dbt, and MettleCI.
  • Implement and maintain data pipeline testing, including unit, integration, regression, and data quality validation within CI/CD workflows.
  • Integrate new data management tools, engineering technologies, and automation capabilities into existing architectures.
  • Establish and optimize processes for data modeling, data mining, and data production workflows.
  • Research and identify opportunities to leverage existing data assets.
  • Utilize programming languages, integration tools, and platforms to connect systems and enable seamless data flow.
  • Collaborate with solution architects, IT teams, and data scientists to achieve project objectives.
  • Recommend and implement improvements to enhance data quality, reliability, and performance.
  • Maintain and update disaster recovery procedures to ensure system resilience.

Experience Requirements:
  • 5 to 20 years of experience in data engineering or related discipline.
  • Proficiency building and optimizing ETL and ELT pipelines with IBM DataStage, Snowflake, dbt, and MettleCI.
  • Hands-on experience with data pipeline testing, including unit, integration, regression, and data quality validation within CI/CD workflows.
  • Proven ability to deliver efficient, accurate, and scalable data solutions aligned to governance and coding standards.
  • Experience integrating data management tools and automation into existing architectures.
  • Background in data modeling, data mining, and production data workflows.
  • Experience developing algorithms, prototypes, and custom software components for analytics and data processing.
  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams including architects, IT, and data science.
  • Experience improving data quality, reliability, performance, and operational resilience.
