Job Overview:

Responsibilities:

  • Receive, log, and triage customer-returned units from RMA claims.
  • Perform systematic failure analysis to identify root causes (electrical, mechanical, workmanship, or design-related).
  • Document findings through detailed failure analysis reports, including failure modes, evidence, and corrective actions.
  • Conduct functional testing using multiple test stations to ensure product integrity.
  • Diagnose and repair PCBs using soldering and rework techniques (SMD and through-hole), including component-level replacement.
  • Perform assembly line reject analysis on units flagged during IQC, in-process, and OQC inspections.
  • Identify defect trends and escalate systemic issues to engineering and quality teams.
  • Support root cause investigations and validate effectiveness of corrective actions.
  • Operate mechanical tools including hand tools, torque drivers, and precision measuring equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records within the quality management system.
  • Follow SOPs, work instructions, and ESD handling protocols.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives on the production floor.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in electronics manufacturing, repair, or testing.
  • Proficiency in PCB soldering and rework (SMD and through-hole).
  • Experience performing failure analysis and generating FA reports.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, BOMs, and technical work instructions.
  • Familiarity with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and power supplies.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with a methodical and detail-oriented approach.
  • Excellent communication skills to convey technical findings to diverse stakeholders.

Preferred Skills:

  • IPC-7711/7721 certification.
  • Knowledge of IPC Class 2 and IPC-A-610 workmanship standards.
  • Experience with battery management systems or electromechanical assemblies.
  • Background in consumer electronics, EV, or mobility hardware.
  • Familiarity with Jira or similar ticketing systems.
  • Experience with Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel.
