Job Details

Responsibilities:

1. Manage all aspects of accounts receivable, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and promptly.
2. Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
3. Review financial reports and accounting statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable regulations and standards.
4. Collaborate with external auditors, providing necessary information and preparing requested documentation.
5. Analyze financial data to identify trends, potential issues, and opportunities for improvement.
6. Develop and implement effective financial strategies, controls, and systems that align with our organization's mission and goals.
7. Participate in budgeting processes, providing insights and recommendations based on financial analysis.
8. Maintain knowledge of current non-profit accounting practices and regulations to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.
9. Support the financial decision-making process by providing accurate, timely, and meaningful financial information to the leadership team.
10. Assist with other accounting and financial tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a non-profit setting.
3. Extensive experience with accounts receivable and reconciliations.
4. Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and non-profit accounting regulations.
5. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
6. Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail.
7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
8. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
9. Demonstrated commitment to ethical standards and high levels of integrity.
10. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) credentials are preferred.
