Network Architect (Hybrid & Cross-Cloud Connectivity)

Role Overview
As a Network Architect, you will be the primary designer and implementer of our mission-critical, multi-cloud network backbone. You will focus on building secure, scalable, and resilient connectivity between Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) and Microsoft Azure, supporting six distinct SDLC environments alongside robust Disaster Recovery (DR) architectures.
Key Responsibilities
1. Multi-Cloud & Hybrid Connectivity
• Architect Cross-Cloud Pathways: Design and deploy high-performance connectivity (VPN / ExpressRoute / Interconnect) between Google Cloud Platform and Azure.
• VNet & VPC Governance: Define Azure VNet architecture, including micro-segmentation and IP address management (IPAM) across complex environments.
• Traffic Engineering: Implement Nginx Anycast and load balancing strategies to optimize global traffic flow.
2. Security & Compliance
• Edge & Perimeter Defense: Configure and manage Azure Front Door and AWS CloudFront for secure content delivery and WAF protection.
• Policy Enforcement: Implement and audit Network Security Groups (NSGs), sophisticated routing tables, and firewall policies to ensure a Zero Trust posture.
• SaaS Integration: Ensure seamless and secure connectivity between third-party SaaS components and internal cloud ecosystems.
3. Resilience & Disaster Recovery
• DR Strategy: Design network replication paths that ensure data integrity and low latency during failover events.
• Validation: Lead the testing and validation of failover/failback connectivity to guarantee business continuity.
• High Availability: Build redundant architectures that eliminate single points of failure across the hybrid mesh.
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Cloud Expertise: Deep technical mastery of Azure Networking (VWAN, VNets, ExpressRoute) and Google Cloud Platform Networking (VPCs, Shared VPCs, Peering).
• Traffic Management: Proven experience with AWS CloudFront, Nginx Anycast, and Azure Front Door.
• Hybrid Connectivity: Extensive background in connecting on-premises data centers to public clouds via hybrid tunnels.
• Infrastructure Security: Expertise in firewall design, routing protocols (BGP), and implementing complex security policies.
• Strategic Planning: Strong experience in DR and HA network planning for enterprise-scale environments.
• Experience with L7 traffic management solutions such as NGINX (reverse proxy, load balancing, or API gateway)
Preferred Attributes
• Expertise in managing networking for six-tier SDLC environments (Dev, QA, UAT, Staging, Prod, DR).
• Strong understanding of network compliance and governance frameworks.
• Ability to translate complex technical requirements into scalable architectural blueprints.
