Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Director of IT Services to provide senior-level leadership and operational oversight across enterprise IT infrastructure, cloud services, networking, service desk operations, cybersecurity coordination, vendor management, and IT service governance.
The ideal candidate will lead technology operations and modernization initiatives involving AWS cloud migration, cloud-native services, infrastructure modernization, enterprise networking, IT service management, and healthcare technology environments.
Key Responsibilities
Enterprise Cloud & Infrastructure
- Lead enterprise AWS cloud infrastructure and platform services.
- Oversee cloud provisioning, identity, monitoring, capacity, performance, and cost optimization.
- Lead cloud migration and modernization initiatives with internal teams, MSPs, and technology partners.
- Establish cloud governance, security controls, architecture standards, and operational procedures.
- Oversee infrastructure including compute, storage, virtualization, operating systems, backup, monitoring, and disaster recovery.
- Develop strategies for high availability, resiliency, business continuity, and capacity planning.
Network & Telecommunications
- Provide leadership for enterprise LAN/WAN, wireless, Internet connectivity, remote access, and telecommunications.
- Oversee DNS and load-balancing activities.
- Coordinate with network teams, carriers, MSPs, and technology vendors.
- Support network modernization, firewall, and access-related initiatives.
IT Service Desk & End-User Support
- Lead enterprise service desk and end-user support operations.
- Establish and monitor KPIs including response time, resolution time, backlog, first-contact resolution, and customer satisfaction.
- Oversee incident escalation, major incident management, and post-incident reviews.
- Improve self-service, knowledge management, automation, and employee technology experience.
Cybersecurity & Compliance
- Partner with cybersecurity leadership to support state and federal security requirements.
- Support security controls across cloud, network, infrastructure, and endpoint environments.
- Participate in risk assessments, audits, vulnerability remediation, and compliance initiatives.
- Support security requirements associated with HIPAA, CMS, and regulated healthcare environments.
Vendor & Contract Management
- Manage relationships with technology vendors, cloud partners, and MSPs.
- Monitor vendor performance, deliverables, financial commitments, and contractual compliance.
- Support SOW development, procurement, contract renewals, and vendor selection.
- Lead vendor escalations and remediation of significant service issues.
ITSM & Governance
- Establish governance for incident, problem, change, configuration, request, and service-level management.
- Develop and maintain service catalogs and operational standards.
- Create executive dashboards and reports covering IT service health, risks, performance, and improvement initiatives.
- Lead SOP development and maintenance.
- Prepare weekly status reports and participate in IT leadership and executive meetings.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of progressive IT experience with significant enterprise infrastructure/IT operations experience.
- 8+ years of IT leadership/management experience supervising technical teams, managers, engineers, and support personnel.
- 2+ years managing enterprise AWS environments.
- Hands-on/leadership experience with AWS EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, and Landing Zone architectures.
- 2+ years of enterprise networking experience including LAN/WAN, DNS, load balancing, wireless, and telecommunications.
- 2+ years of enterprise monitoring and observability experience.
- 2+ years managing IT service desk/service management operations, including incidents, SLAs, and customer satisfaction.
- 2+ years of IT vendor management, contract oversight, SOW development, and procurement support.
- 2+ years managing backup and data protection solutions.
- 2+ years of cybersecurity, compliance, and IT governance experience in a regulated environment.
- Strong executive communication, leadership, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor s degree in IT, Computer Science, MIS, Management, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- State or federal government IT experience.
- Medicaid, healthcare, or human services experience.
- CMS interoperability and FHIR API experience.
- AWS certification.
- ITIL v4 certification.
- Identity and access management experience.
- NoSQL databases and healthcare integration engines.
- Infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD, and DevOps experience.
- On-premises data center-to-cloud migration leadership.
- PMP or similar certification.
- Master s degree in technology or management.
- HIPAA Security Rule and CMS security requirements experience.

Work Location & Availability
100% onsite in Jackson, Mississippi. Remote candidates will not be considered.
The selected candidate must work Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM CST, with participation in after-hours support for major incidents and critical system events.
Critical Incident Response: Maximum 30-minute response time.
