Job Title: Network Infrastructure Engineer – Blue Coat Proxy
Location: Plano TX, Jersey city NJ, Columbus Ohio, San Francisco CA

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Network Infrastructure Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Blue Coat Proxy solutions to support and enhance enterprise network security infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in ProxySG administration, secure web gateway technologies, network troubleshooting, and proxy policy management in large-scale enterprise environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, configure, and support Blue Coat ProxySG / Symantec Proxy solutions.
- Manage enterprise proxy infrastructure including web filtering, SSL inspection, authentication, and policy enforcement.
- Monitor and troubleshoot proxy performance, connectivity, and security-related issues.
- Configure and maintain proxy policies, PAC files, URL filtering, and access controls.
- Support secure web gateway (SWG) environments and integrate with enterprise security tools.
- Collaborate with network, security, and infrastructure teams for deployments, upgrades, and migrations.
- Perform incident response, root cause analysis, and proactive issue resolution.
- Implement high availability, redundancy, and disaster recovery solutions for proxy infrastructure.
- Maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and configuration standards.
- Participate in change management, patching, and infrastructure lifecycle activities.
- Ensure compliance with enterprise security policies and industry best practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in Network Infrastructure or Network Security Engineering.
- Strong hands-on experience with Blue Coat ProxySG / Symantec Proxy solutions.
- Experience with secure web gateway (SWG) technologies and enterprise proxy environments.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching, and network protocols.
- Experience with SSL decryption/inspection and web security policies.
- Knowledge of authentication methods including LDAP, Active Directory, Kerberos, and SSO integration.
- Experience troubleshooting proxy, firewall, and network connectivity issues.
- Familiarity with enterprise security tools such as Palo Alto, Zscaler, Cisco, Fortinet, or Netskope.
- Experience with Linux and Windows server environments.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Blue Coat Director or centralized proxy management tools.
- Scripting or automation experience using Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
- Exposure to cloud security and hybrid network environments.
- Relevant certifications such as CCNP, Security+, PCNSA, or Blue Coat certifications.
