Network Engineer

Description
We are seeking a skilled Network Engineer with strong experience in Cisco networking technologies and VMware virtualization to support and maintain enterprise network and virtual infrastructure environment. This role focuses on day-to-day operations, troubleshooting, and stability of on-premises and hybrid systems while collaborating with infrastructure, security, and application teams.
Key Responsibilities
Implement, configure, and support enterprise network infrastructure using Cisco technologies
Administer and support VMware environments, including ESXi hosts, vCenter, and virtual networking
Monitor network and virtual infrastructure performance, capacity, and availability
Troubleshoot and resolve complex network, connectivity, and virtualization issues
Maintain network security configurations, including firewalls, ACLs, VPNs, and segmentation
Configure and support VLANs, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP), QoS, and high-availability environments
Support virtual switches (vDS), port groups, and VM networking
Participate in disaster recovery testing and execution
Maintain accurate network diagrams, documentation, and operating procedures
Coordinate with systems, cloud, and security teams on operational tasks
Provide Tier 3 support and participate in on-call rotations as required
Required Qualifications
7+ years of hands-on network engineering experience
Strong experience with Cisco technologies:
o Cisco IOS/XE
o Routers and switches (Catalyst, Nexus preferred)
o Firewalls (ASA, Firepower, or equivalent)
Solid experience with VMware:
o VMware ESXi
o vCenter Server
o VMware virtual networking
Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NAT, SNMP
Experience using network monitoring and troubleshooting tools
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
Cisco certifications (CCNA, CCNP, or higher)
VMware certifications (VCP or higher)
Experience supporting:
o SD-WAN environments
o Network automation or scripting
o Cloud networking (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform)
o Large or hybrid enterprise environments

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $80.00/hr.
