Summary

Sr. Project Manager IT

Location Preference would be St Louis, MO, or Tempe, AZ, for someone who can work a hybrid (3 days onsite) schedule.

But open to Remote candidates as well.

Duration ; 12 months

Duties: Maintains information technology strategies by managing staff; researching and implementing technological strategic solutions. Manage the entire project lifecycle for multiple projects from project definition through implementation.

Responsibilities:

Coordinating transition activities between existing and future-state systems
Ensuring modernization projects stay within scope, schedule, and quality expectations
Facilitating communication between business owners, technical teams, and leadership
Driving project execution and aligning all partners toward shared goals

Project Execution & Governance

Lead daily stand-ups with the project team (Central Time schedule).
Facilitate monthly formal status reporting, including progress, risks, issues, and decisions required.
Conduct one-on-one team check-ins to ensure alignment, identify blockers, and validate progress.
Maintain project plans, RAID logs, timelines, and documentation aligned with PMO standards.
Manage both Agile rituals and Waterfall checkpoints depending on the project structure.

Stakeholder Management

Partner with the business owner to ensure requirements, acceptance criteria, and outcomes are well defined.
Communicate project updates to cross-functional stakeholders in a clear, structured, and concise manner.
Navigate stakeholder expectations, negotiate priorities, and escalate risks when appropriate.

Risk, Issue & Change Management

Identify potential delays or impacts early and drive mitigation strategies.
Manage change requests and ensure appropriate approvals and documentation.
Track dependencies across teams and ensure coordinated delivery.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree
6–8 years of Project Management experience
Experience delivering projects in both Waterfall and Agile environments
Exceptional verbal and written communication
Strong stakeholder engagement skills across business and IT partners
Highly organized; strong prioritization skills in a deadline-driven, enterprise setting
Experience working in financial services or other highly regulated industries

Preferred Certifications

PMP (PMI) Certification
PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI‑ACP)
Certified ScrumMaster (CSM)
Disciplined Agile (DASM/DASSM)
Six Sigma certification
