Our client is looking for a IT Systems Support Specialist for a year long contract opportunity located in Sacramento, CA. This role is 100% onsite with high chance of extensions.

Position Overview We are seeking an IT Systems Support Specialist whose primary responsibility will be to provide comprehensive, on-site Field Service and desktop support for a centralized enterprise team. This role supports multiple internal corporate and operational business units, ensuring all technical troubleshooting and deployments maintain the strict standards defined by the enterprise IT organization.

  • Tier Level: Second-Level (Tier 2) Service Desk & Field Support
Core Responsibilities
  • Technical Troubleshooting: Resolve complex hardware and software issues, providing Tier 2 support via automated service desk tickets, hands-on intervention, and remote assistance tools.
  • Network & Access Support: Assist users remotely with multi-factor authentication (MFA/DUO), VPN connectivity (NetMotion), and general network resource access.
  • System Deployment: Deploy operating system images using MECM (SCCM) via both GUI and Headless configurations. Package and push software updates manually or through MECM task sequences.
  • Asset Management: Meticulously track, document, and update both hardware and software asset assignments within the internal enterprise inventory management system.
  • Hardware & Operations Support: Image, install, configure, and relocate IT-related workstations and equipment. Assist end-users with navigating operating systems, core applications, and hardware peripherals (including specialty equipment like label/receipt printers and barcode scanners).
  • Browser Configuration: Maintain a solid working understanding of enterprise browser configurations (specifically Microsoft Edge) utilized as the primary platform for internal web applications.
  • Documentation & Compliance: Create clear technical documentation for issue resolution and maintain strict adherence to organizational IT standards.
Required Skills & Experience
  • Technical Proficiency: Proven experience troubleshooting Windows operating systems and managing user access within Active Directory or similar identity management systems.
  • Agility & Soft Skills: Strong customer service, verbal, and written communication skills with a demonstrated ability to manage rapidly changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to Detail: Excellent organizational skills to ensure asset tracking, task sequences, and system documentation are executed with a high degree of accuracy.
