Job Responsibilities
Lead data migration efforts into Salesforce, including mapping companies, contacts, and business entities to Salesforce objects
Build and maintain Excel-based data mapping files using formulas (VLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, pivot tables, data validation) for field analysis, de-duplication, and data quality resolution
Write clear, comprehensive requirements documentation (BRDs, FRDs, user stories) with technical permutations and acceptance criteria
Create and manage JIRA tickets (Epics, stories, and Tasks) that accurately capture scope and enable developers to build without ambiguity
Work with software developers and QA engineers to understand deployment processes, sequence work, and meet deadlines
Engage directly with internal business stakeholders to understand processes, workflows, and data needs, and translate those into structured deliverables
Take detailed meeting notes and translate them into actionable documentation and open item trackers
Support 2-3 concurrent initiatives simultaneously, balancing priorities across workstreams
Create presentations and write effective status communications for leadership and project stakeholders
Prototype reports and dashboards in Salesforce to validate solutions with business users
Requirements
8+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in financial services, private equity, or alternative investments
Salesforce platform experience: understanding of objects, data model, CRM concepts, reports, and dashboards
Strong Excel proficiency: formulas (VLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, XLOOKUP), pivot tables, conditional formatting, data validation. Must be comfortable building data mapping files, not hard-coding values
Data mapping and data migration experience: source-to-target mapping, data profiling, data quality remediation, de-duplication
Requirements documentation experience: BRDs, FRDs, user stories with permutations and acceptance criteria
JIRA proficiency: creating and managing Epics, Stories, and Tasks; backlog grooming; sprint planning support
SQL or BI tool experience (Power BI, Tableau) for data analysis and reporting
Strong written and verbal communication skills: ability to present to business stakeholders and write clear, effective emails
Self-directed work style: ability to identify gaps, resolve issues proactively, and deliver complete work without constant oversight
US-based and authorized to work in the United States
Available to work onsite in Manhattan several days per month, up to 4+ days per week in office
Preferred Qualifications
Certified Salesforce Administrator
Direct experience at a PE firm, hedge fund, or alternative investment manager
Understanding of fund structures, investor relations, capital calls, or fund operations
Experience with Salesforce Financial Services Cloud or Experience Cloud
Data governance or data quality management experience
Familiarity with Salesforce Data Loader or similar data import tools
Experience working in a fast-paced environment where consultants are held to the same standard as full-time employees
