This is a Non-Employee Contingent Worker Role providing services for TIAA's family of companies and will be employed by TIAA's preferred 3rd Party Supplier. As a Non-Employee CW, perform a variety of moderately complex business planning, support, and project-related duties. Demonstrates an exceptional standard of quality and holds themselves accountable to achieving excellent results.

The anticipated term of this engagement will be 5 months. This term could be extended based on company business needs.

Role Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and self-motivated individual to provide analytical and light administrative support to our Stewardship and Engagement and Proxy Voting Operations teams. This individual will play a meaningful role in keeping our engagement and voting operations running smoothly, while also contributing to substantive research and analysis under the guidance of the teams.
Key Responsibilities The candidate will support the teams with proxy voting reporting, voting analytics and proxy voting account maintenance.
The successful candidate will serve as a first point of contact for incoming engagement requests, conducting initial assessments and preparing key inputs to help analysts determine whether to accept a given request. They will also take ownership of engagement scheduling.
Beyond scheduling and intake, this individual will help prepare engagements and draft records in the team's engagement tracking software for engagement logging purposes. They will draft research and analysis on shareholder proposals, with all outputs reviewed, edited, and finalized by a covering analyst who will make the ultimate vote recommendation. The role also includes conducting independent research to inform analyst vote decisions - for example, on executive compensation matters - as well as reviewing company disclosures to support our outcomes harvesting process.
Skills & Qualifications The ideal candidate is nimble and thrives in a fast-paced environment where multiple tasks with competing deadlines are the norm. Strong attention to detail is essential, as is the ability to work independently and collaborate efficiently across teams. Advanced Excel skills are required. An interest in or prior experience with ESG, corporate governance, or proxy voting is strongly preferred.
