We are looking for a Technical Lead to oversee and implement the complete migration of the AutoSys Workload Automation platform from on-premises infrastructure to a AWS cloud environment. This role is responsible for developing the migration strategy, designing and implementing the target architecture, planning and executing the technical migration, and ensuring a seamless production cutover and post-migration stabilization with minimal downtime and controlled operational risk. The Technical Lead will partner closely with application teams, infrastructure and cloud engineering, and security to deliver a reliable, production-ready scheduling platform in AWS. Key responsibilities include configuring AutoSys on AWS, migrating and reconfiguring job inventories, validating dependencies, and managing cutover with rollback capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead AutoSys migration from on-prem to AWS, ensuring minimal disruption and operational continuity.
• Develop and execute a phased migration strategy with thorough dependency mapping and workflow analysis.
• Design and build a scalable, high-availability AutoSys platform on AWS using best practices.
• Migrate and validate job schedules, inventories, variables, and calendars to ensure schedule integrity.
• Automate environment provisioning with IaC tools and integrate CI/CD pipelines.
• Define and manage cloud agent strategy, using containers and Kubernetes/EKS as needed.
• Develop and execute cutover and rollback plans, including runbooks and validation for SLA compliance.
• Lead end-to-end functional, performance, resilience, and DR testing, supporting post-migration stabilization.
• Create runbooks and documentation for smooth operations and effective knowledge transfer.
• Implement monitoring, alerting, and incident response for operational readiness aligned with AWS standards.
• Provide regular stakeholder updates, manage risks, and drive ongoing documentation and team enablement.
Qualifications & Skills
• 5+ years of hands-on workload automation and batch scheduling experience, ideally with AutoSys platform administration, troubleshooting, and job migration expertise.
• Strong proficiency in Linux (on-premises), including advanced scripting skills (Shell/Python) for automation, operational tooling, and migration support.
• At least 3 years of practical AWS experience, covering VPC, IAM, EC2, S3, and optionally RDS/Aurora, with the ability to operate enterprise workloads in cloud environments.
• Proven track record running migration programs, including planning, phased execution, validation, rollback strategies, and post-migration stabilization.
• Demonstrated expertise in AutoSys Workload Automation, covering platform administration, job definition, migration, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) for consistent environment builds across development, test, and production.
• Familiarity with enterprise platform patterns, including containerization and Kubernetes/EKS for AutoSys components and workload execution.
• Exposure to enterprise integration patterns connecting workload automation platforms and AWS services.
• Knowledge of AutoSys enterprise ecosystem components (such as WCC/EEM) and associated governance models.
