INL is seeking a Software Developer to develop a new PCARD application according to requirements outlined by BEA. The developer will receive assignments from the Project Manager and Work Lead, build application functionality, document and escalate issues, participate in project meetings, and provide weekly status updates. This is a remote backfill opportunity.
Required qualifications
• Experience developing software in .NET.
• Experience developing with SQL.
• Experience using APIs.
• Bachelor's degree plus two years of experience, OR a master's degree, OR six years of applicable experience in lieu of a degree. The form does not specify a degree discipline or additional experience for the master's-degree route.
•• Jira for task tracking.
• CI/CD pipelines and deployment using Azure DevOps.
• Test-driven development (TDD) practices and database skills.
• Object-relational mappers (ORMs), such as Dapper or Entity Framework Core; cloud and microservices experience.
• Application deployment in Azure and understanding of Azure App Services, Functions, Storage, and Azure Kubernetes Services.
• Docker/containerization experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
• Develop the PCARD application to the requirements outlined by BEA.
• Identify, escalate, and document issues and risks. Provide them to the BEA technical point of contact (TPOC) and Work Lead using an agreed method and format.
• Attend project reviews, standups, and other meetings scheduled by the Project Manager and Work Lead.
• Participate in an initial kickoff to review scope, expectations, change control, requirements, dates, and pre-planning activities.
• Generate weekly status reports for key stakeholders and project sponsors.
• Comply with INL safety, security, environmental, health, and quality-assurance requirements; perform other assigned duties.
