Role OverviewWe are seeking a Sr. Solution Architect to assist a client with the planning and execution of backup data re-pointing and the operational management of their backup environment. This role involves environment discovery, migration planning, and configuration support for a new private cloud solution.
Key Responsibilities- Perform environment discovery and assessment by reviewing existing Avamar, Networker, and Data Domain configurations, policies, and schedules.
- Document current backup clients, workloads, data domains/Mtrees, and replication relationships.
- Assist in defining the target backup architecture using PPDM and Data Domain within a new private cloud solution.
- Map legacy Avamar/Networker backup policies and workflows to new PPDM policies and Data Domain targets.
- Support the configuration and validation of PDM components to protect specified workloads, including protection policies, schedules, and SLAs.
- Aid in the configuration and tuning of Data Domain as a backup target, including DD Boost, Mtrees, and logical capacity planning.
- Configure Networker to utilize new Data Domain systems as backup targets.
- Repoint in-scope Networker backup jobs and client configurations from legacy systems to the new Data Domain environment.
- Support the transition of backup workloads from Avamar to the PPDM/Data Domain platform as outlined in the migration plan.
Required QualificationsTechnical Skills: Must have experience with Avamar, Data Domain, PPDM, and Networker.
CompensationThe pay rate for this position is between $85.00 and $93.00 per hour. The rate is all-inclusive.
