We are seeking a skilled Fortinet Firewall Engineer to design, implement, and manage secure network infrastructures using Fortinet technologies. This role will be responsible for ensuring the security, availability, and performance of enterprise networks, with a focus on FortiGate firewalls and associated security platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Design, configure, and deploy Fortinet firewall solutions (FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer)
Develop and maintain firewall policies, NAT rules, and VPNs (IPSec/SSL)
Implement advanced security services such as IDS/IPS, web filtering, and threat prevention
Configure high availability (HA), clustering, and failover solutions for resilience
Monitor firewall logs, analyze traffic, and respond to security incidents
Troubleshoot network and security issues across LAN/WAN and hybrid environments
Collaborate with internal teams and clients to gather requirements and deliver secure solutions
Maintain documentation including network diagrams, configurations, and SOPs
Support audits, compliance initiatives, and vulnerability remediation
Provide L2/L3 support and participate in on-call rotations if required
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience)
5–7+ years of hands-on experience with Fortinet firewalls (FortiGate)
Strong knowledge of:
TCP/IP, routing (OSPF, BGP), switching, VLANs
VPN technologies (IPSec, SSL VPN)
Firewall policies, NAT, and access control
Experience with Fortinet ecosystem tools (FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, FortiClient)
Solid troubleshooting and analytical skills in complex environments
Experience with cloud environments (AWS/Azure) is a plus
Familiarity with other firewalls (Cisco, Palo Alto) is an advantage

FCP (Fortinet Certified Professional)
FCSS / FCX
NSE 4 / NSE 5 / NSE 6 / NSE 7
Additional certifications (nice to have):
CCNA / CCNP (Cisco)
