Job Description
We are seeking a Java Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Java and Oracle SQL and a proven ability to deliver end-to-end solutions across the software development life cycle. This is a development-centric, 100% hands-on role.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze business and technical requirements and design solutions for business-critical components.
- Design, develop, and deliver applications with post-production support.
- Enhance existing application stacks and act as application manager for key reference data applications.
- Collaborate with technical and business partners across global teams.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong proficiency in Java and Oracle SQL.
- Experience writing optimized SQL queries and working with J2EE frameworks.
- Understanding of unit testing concepts and Agile development practices.
- Strong software build and release management skills and familiarity with common development patterns.
- Experience building scalable and robust applications with clear written and verbal communication.
- Experience level: 5-10 years preferred. Will consider 3 years for strong candidates.
Preferred Skills:
- Python.
- Experience across multiple technologies and functions.
Interview Process
- Round 1: Technical video interview with international Java tech leads.
- Optional Round 1 follow-up: Technical video interview with international Python tech lead if applicable.
- Round 2: Technical onsite interview in New York office with the Hiring Manager.
Additional Details
- Start date: ASAP. Two roles available. Glider Candidate ID Verification required.
- Candidates must include current location and intended onsite location on the resume.
- Interviews will be on camera. Candidates must solve problems without AI assistance.
- Communication will be with project support such as a Scrum Master. No senior leadership communication expected. Preference for candidates interested in learning to work with front office teams.
- Strong accountability and frequent progress reporting are required.
