Network Engineer
Location: St. Paul, MN (Onsite)
Type: Full-Time
Salary: $78,000 - $118,000 + Bonus & Benefits
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer to design, implement, maintain, and optimize enterprise network infrastructure. This role is responsible for ensuring the stability, security, and availability of local and wide area networks while supporting critical business operations. The ideal candidate will have strong networking expertise, excellent troubleshooting skills, and experience working with network infrastructure projects and data center environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain enterprise network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and related networking equipment.
- Monitor network performance, availability, and security to ensure maximum uptime.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues, serving as a Tier 3 escalation resource.
- Design, implement, and support LAN, WAN, and data center network solutions.
- Apply network updates, patches, and firmware upgrades.
- Support storage and network security environments.
- Participate in infrastructure projects, including network upgrades, expansions, and new deployments.
- Assist with network architecture, planning, and capacity management.
- Manage relationships with vendors and service providers for networking and telecommunications services.
- Ensure backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity processes are maintained.
- Create and maintain technical documentation for network systems and procedures.
- Provide project status updates and technical recommendations to leadership.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience supporting enterprise network infrastructure, LAN/WAN environments, and data centers.
- Hands-on experience with routers, switches, firewalls, and network services.
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Active Directory, Group Policy, and related network technologies.
- Experience troubleshooting complex network performance and connectivity issues.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong documentation, organizational, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or similar networking certification.
- Experience with Zero Trust networking architectures and security solutions.
- Knowledge of disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
- Prior experience leading or supporting infrastructure-focused projects.
