Senior Full Stack Software Engineer (End‑to‑End Ownership)
Location: Los Angeles, CA — Onsite Mon–Fri (mandatory)
Relocation: Open, but must relocate immediately
Comp: $180K–$200K base + meaningful equity
INDUSTRY: Client builds products to coordinate and automate airfield operations in real time. The Flagship product, helps operations teams manage the aircraft turnaround process by assigning tasks, dispatching personnel and vehicles, tracking execution, and centralizing communication. It improves efficiency, reduces delays, and standardizes ground handling across the airfield. Our vision is to enable fully automated ground operations, and provides the digital infrastructure to get there.
Role Snapshot
- Senior full‑stack product engineer to own mission‑critical, real‑time systems powering a next‑generation Ground Traffic Control platform for airports.
- This is true end‑to‑end ownership: no PMs, direct user interaction, design → build → ship → support.
What You’ll Do
- Own features end‑to‑end (design, build, deploy, operate)
- Build distributed, data‑intensive systems under real‑time, high‑accuracy constraints
- Work across backend services, internal tools, and customer‑facing UI
- Collaborate directly with airport ground operations teams
- Design scalable APIs, improve observability, performance, and reliability
- Contribute to system architecture, frontend patterns, and CI/CD best practices
Must‑Have Experience
- 7+ years as a full‑stack software engineer
- Proven end‑to‑end ownership of production systems
- Experience in data‑heavy or operational systems (aviation, mobility, logistics, IoT, telemetry, real‑time streaming)
- Comfortable working ~50/50 frontend and backend
- Exposure to distributed systems, async workflows, high‑volume data
Strong Signals
- Thrives without product managers
- Strong product intuition; talks directly to users
- Autonomous decision‑maker in lean teams
- Excited to be onsite in Los Angeles
- Interested in mission‑critical, real‑world systems
Hard Requirements
- Golang
- React
- Interest in aviation or time‑critical operations
Hard No’s
- Contract‑only or low‑ownership backgrounds
- Frequent short tenures (6–12 month stints)
- Remote‑only candidates
Why This Role
- Engineers fully own problems and solutions (no PM layer)
- Lean team with outsized product impact
- Company plans to double engineering headcount → clear tech‑lead growth
- Well‑funded ($10M seed) with Series‑A‑level traction and equity upside
Interview Process
- Meet with Excel – quick, informal Teams meeting
- CTO Screen (30 min): ownership, fit, onsite commitment
- Technical (1–2 hrs): live coding + system design
- Final Onsite (2–3 hrs): deep technical + culture fit
