Role Overview

Our organization is seeking a Senior Engineer specialized in AI Voice Agents to support automated customer service and retail journeys. This role focuses on designing, coding, testing, and deploying production-grade, voice-enabled AI solutions that scale during peak demand and irregular operations. The successful candidate will work closely with product, architecture, and platform teams to own the delivery of assigned capabilities from requirements through production support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and deploy voice AI agents and agentic workflows using Python and frameworks such as LangChain or LangGraph.
  • Build conversational workflows managing customer intent, multi-turn context, tool execution, business rules, fallback behavior, and agent handoff.
  • Integrate speech recognition, speech synthesis, streaming interfaces, and contact center platforms while optimizing response latency and interruption handling.
  • Develop secure APIs and backend integrations enabling AI agents to retrieve information and execute transactions.
  • Implement and optimize prompts, agent orchestration, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and grounding against approved enterprise knowledge sources.
  • Build resilient, scalable AWS solutions with appropriate timeout, retry, error-handling, and asynchronous processing patterns.
  • Write clean, maintainable code, participate in design and code reviews, and contribute to technical specifications.
  • Develop unit, integration, and conversational regression tests to support performance and non-functional testing.
  • Evaluate conversation quality, task completion, response accuracy, latency, and failure scenarios to improve system reliability.
  • Implement security protocols, customer data protection, and responsible AI guardrails against unsupported responses.
Required Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field of study.

Experience: Senior-level experience in backend software engineering with a focus on production-quality services, conversational AI systems, and cloud-native applications.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python development, conversational and voice AI, LangChain or LangGraph frameworks, AWS cloud development, and API integration.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with automated testing tools, including Word and conversational regression testing frameworks.
  • Familiarity with event-driven design patterns and relational, NoSQL, or vector databases.
