SSIS/SSMS Application Engineer
Introduction
We are seeking a Senior Application Support Engineer to support and maintain internally managed applications. This role is responsible for troubleshooting, performance monitoring, system enhancements, and supporting key data initiatives. The ideal candidate will be a strong technical contributor who can lead projects, collaborate cross-functionally, and serve as a key liaison between technical and business teams.
Responsibilities
- Support, maintain, and troubleshoot business-critical applications
- Investigate and resolve incidents and system issues; implement preventative solutions
- Monitor application performance and recommend improvements
- Lead technical projects from planning through execution
- Collaborate with engineering and data teams to design, build, and maintain solutions
- Develop and maintain scripts and code to support data and application needs
- Manage application security, upgrades, backups, and disaster recovery processes
- Evaluate and implement new system software and updates
- Serve as a primary point of contact between IT and business stakeholders
- Ensure adherence to system, security, and operational standards
Requirements
<>Required Qualifications>
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of experience in application support or software engineering
<>Technical Skills>
- Strong experience with:
- SQL Server
- SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS)
- SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
- Experience with one or more of the following:
- Windows OS
- Visual Studio
- C++ or Java
<>Preferred Qualifications>
- Experience in the healthcare industry
