Pay Range: $100000 - $120000/annum Base + 30% Bonus. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).
Key Responsibilities:
- The Safety Manager provides safety leadership, guidance, and operational support to minimize employee injuries, property damage, and third-party liabilities.
- The position reports to the Corporate Safety Director and is responsible for evaluating, developing, planning, directing, training, and implementing safety initiatives across operations.
- Lead and implement safety initiatives focused on continuous improvement of safety processes and supporting the organization’s vision of achieving a Zero Incident Culture.
- This position requires a strong, energetic leader who proactively identifies opportunities and develops effective safety solutions.
- Evaluate business processes, work tasks, historical incident rates, root cause analyses, and critical needs of Profit Centers/Departments to design and manage incident reduction projects.
- Develop these projects with the Safety Director and execute them in partnership with the Senior Vice President of the Carolinas Division, Carolinas Field Operations Team, and Corporate Safety Director.
- Manage and monitor safety projects by tracking action items and outcomes and providing regular reports to the Safety Director and Carolinas leadership.
- This position does not typically have supervisory responsibility but may supervise a technical assistant or related position as directed by the VP of Safety.
- Develop strong relationships with Profit Center/Department leaders and organizational safety leaders through regular face-to-face meetings and communication of safety progress.
- Coordinate and help administer new-hire safety orientation programs relevant to specific jobs.
- Plan and facilitate the implementation of safety policies and procedures in compliance with applicable local, state, and OSHA rules and regulations.
- Notify the Director of Safety and Profit Center/Department leadership of situations that present immediate danger to employee life or health, including recurring life-threatening behaviors or conditions.
Key Requirements and Technology Experience:
- Key Skills; Must have at least five years of experience as safety manager in Construction Industry.
- Must have certification in Osha 500 or 510.
- The Safety Manager provides safety leadership, guidance, and operational support to minimize employee injuries, property damage, and third-party liabilities.
