Job Title: Mobile Application Developer

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Staff Software Engineer to lead the design and development of a new Android mobile application used by drone pilots for agricultural field scouting and flight planning. The role involves approximately 75% Android development and 25% maintenance and enhancement of an existing iOS application (FieldAgent Mobile).

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead Android mobile application architecture, design, development, testing, and deployment.
• Maintain and enhance existing iOS applications.
• Leverage AI-driven software development practices to accelerate development and improve quality.
• Collaborate with Product Management, UX, backend, and hardware engineering teams.
• Develop solutions involving geospatial data, maps, drone technology, and agricultural applications.
• Ensure application performance, scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
• Participate in customer discussions, prototype development, and occasional drone flight testing.

Required Skills:

• 6+ years of professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of hands-on Android development experience.
• Strong software architecture, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working independently as a technical lead.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted software development practices.
• iOS development experience.
• GitHub Actions and CI/CD pipelines.
• Geospatial technologies (GeoJSON, GIS, raster/vector data).
• Drone applications, IoT, hardware, or sensor integration.
• Precision agriculture or digital agronomy.
• C# .NET / WPF experience.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
