Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Engineer / Security Operations Engineer to support enterprise cybersecurity initiatives, security operations, endpoint protection, and threat detection. This position will work closely with senior leadership, project managers, technical teams, and business stakeholders to ensure security initiatives align with organizational objectives. The ideal candidate will have hands-on cybersecurity experience, strong knowledge of Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, security operations and incident response, and excellent customer service and communication skills. Experience with browser security is highly desirable.
Required:
  • Cybersecurity engineering experience.
  • Strong hands-on cybersecurity/security operations background.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Defender for Endpoint (MDE).
  • Experience with endpoint security, threat detection, security monitoring, investigation, and incident response.
  • Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to work directly with users, technical teams, and business stakeholders.
Preferred:
  • 5+ years of cloud security engineering or related cybersecurity experience.
  • Experience designing or implementing cloud security solutions and architectures.
  • Knowledge of AWS, Microsoft Azure, and/or Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) security.
  • Experience with regulatory and security frameworks such as PCI-DSS, ISO 27001, and GDPR.
  • Experience working within a SOC or enterprise security operations environment.
  • Experience with endpoint detection and response (EDR/XDR) technologies.
  • Experience with browser security technologies, controls, policies, or secure enterprise browsing.
Responsibilities:
  • Partner with senior leadership, project managers, and stakeholders to align cybersecurity initiatives with business and technology objectives.
  • Support and oversee cybersecurity projects from planning through implementation and delivery.
  • Identify project and cybersecurity risks and clearly communicate risks, mitigation strategies, and recommendations to leadership.
  • Support Security Operations Center (SOC) activities, including security monitoring, threat detection, investigation, and incident response.
  • Design and implement advanced threat detection and incident response processes for identifying, containing, and remediating security incidents.
  • Work extensively with Microsoft Defender for Endpoint (MDE) for endpoint security, monitoring, investigation, detection, and remediation.
  • Develop and maintain security operations strategies, processes, and governance frameworks.
  • Track security effectiveness through operational metrics, compliance reporting, and KPIs.
  • Ensure cybersecurity practices align with applicable security standards, organizational policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate resources, project activities, risks, dependencies, and issues to ensure successful delivery.
  • Develop and support secure communication protocols to protect sensitive information and cybersecurity systems.
  • Help integrate physical security controls with cybersecurity processes where required.
  • Communicate security incidents, operational risks, remediation strategies, and status updates to technical and executive stakeholders.
  • Mentor and support cybersecurity team members and promote continuous improvement of security operations.
