Description

We are looking for a skilled PC Technician to join our team on a contract basis in Cleveland, Ohio. This role involves providing technical support for setting up and dismantling computer systems during conferences and events, often held in hotel event spaces. Ideal candidates will possess hands-on expertise with a variety of hardware and software technologies and be comfortable working in dynamic environments.

Responsibilities:
Set up computer systems and related equipment at event venues, ensuring proper configuration and functionality.
Break down and pack computer setups after events, ensuring all components are accounted for and securely prepared for shipment.
Coordinate with venue staff to manage storage and retrieval of packing materials.
Apply shipping labels and handle arrangements for return shipments post-event.
Provide technical troubleshooting and support for hardware and software issues during events.
Communicate effectively with team members and venue staff to ensure smooth operations.
Maintain detailed records of equipment usage and shipping processes.
Handle a variety of computer systems, including Dell, IBM, and Mac devices.
Ensure compliance with event timelines and schedules.
Adhere to company standards for equipment handling and client interactions.

Requirements

Proven experience with computer hardware setup and troubleshooting.
Familiarity with Dell, IBM, Linux, and Mac technologies.
Ability to work with Active Directory and Apple devices.
Knowledge of backup technologies and cable installation.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills to coordinate with venue staff and team members.
Ability to lift and transport computer equipment safely.
Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends, as required for event schedules.
