Role - Business Systems Analyst (EApps)
Location - Golden Valley - Minnesota

INTAKE NOTES:
We have a heads up on a potential position, should Allianz look to convert Vamsi to an FTE. They are working through the process which they believe will take a month or two. We are exclusively working on this backfill position.
This will be a long term, multi-year contract that could convert down the road, no plans in 2026 to convert.
Looking for someone local, who can be onsite 3x a week.
This is a Technical Business Systems Analyst position, associated with the EApps team in Strategic Solutions at Allianz Life.
- EAPPS: DTCC, ACCORD standards, Firelight, AN4, Affirm or other insurance application order entry systems
Looking for a BSA with experience in the Life/Annuities Domain working with Insurance Application Order Entry Systems(Listed Above)
- Will be working in an Agile Scrum Teams, supporting a Product Owner
I would say the person this person will be replacing is just shy of 10 years of experience. They will be looking for 5 years minimum.
DESCRIPTION
Responsibilities
- Perform analysis and develops requirements (user stories) for enhancements and new products implemented on complex Annuity and Life insurance systems
- Act as a subject matter expert integrating complex product design and business rules into solutions.
- Have strong communication and collaboration skills, particularly when working cross-functionally. Is able to discuss technical topics with non-technical audiences.
- In response to regulation and in collaboration with other areas, determines business systems approach and requirements needed to maintain compliance within impacted applications and processes.
- Work alongside Product Owners to ensure developers can build enhancements and new products as intended.
- Generate recommendations to resolve known areas for improvement or to take advantage of emerging opportunities.
- Actively participate in the Agile process, including advancing the efficiency and agility of the teams with which they work.
- Is an advocate for positive change in their teams, able to motivate people to overcome barriers and generate creative and elegant solutions to difficult problems
Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience required, relevant technical and business experience, preferably in the Annuity and Life Insurance industry.
- Four-year degree required, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or related field; or specialized training or equivalent extensive work experience
- Experience working in an Agile environment, but able to work with elements of waterfall projects
- Plus: experience with DTCC, ACCORD standards, Firelight, AN4, Affirm or other insurance application order entry systems
Licensing/Certification/Other:
- Comprehensive technical skills in the areas of insurance product features and mechanics
- Programming concepts (XML, json, java)
- Knowledge of ACORD standards
- Microsoft Excel functionality including Visual Basic for Applications
- Insurance Administration systems.
