Director, Penetration Testing Program
Location: Iselin, Nj
Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Compensation: $180,000 $210,000 base + annual bonus + exceptional benefits 401(k) match
Eligibility: W2 only No Corp to Corp or third-party agencies
Build -Scale a testing program beyond compliance specifically around system performance, technical validation, or security testing
About the Role
We are seeking a Director-level leader to build and lead an enterprise-wide security testing program. This role focuses on developing a scalable, high-impact testing function with strong emphasis on performance testing, technical strategy, and program ownership. Prior penetration testing experience is a plus but not required.
What You ll Be Doing
- Build and scale an enterprise security testing program
- Define frameworks, methodologies, and best practices
- Oversee testing strategies including performance and technical validation
- Ensure testing aligns with business risk and system performance
- Manage third-party vendors and testing tools
- Establish metrics and reporting for leadership
- Collaborate cross-functionally to improve system performance and resilience
- Provide leadership and mentorship to team members
What We re Looking For
- Experience building and leading testing or security programs
- Strong technical understanding of testing environments and systems
- Experience with performance testing and overall testing strategy
- Ability to translate technical findings into business impact
- Leadership and stakeholder management experience
- Prior penetration testing experience is a plus
Certifications & Education
- Relevant certifications are a plus (e.g., security or testing-related)
- Bachelor s or advanced degree in a related field preferred
- building or scaling testing programs (not just executing audits)
- Solid technical understanding of systems, applications, and performance testing
- Exposure to security testing or engineering teams (even if not hands-on)
- Ability to translate testing into risk, performance, and business impact
- Experience working cross-functionally with engineering / infrastructure teams
