ob Title: Senior Java Microservices Engineer

We are seeking a senior-level Java engineer to support the design, development, and modernization of large-scale, cloud-native applications. This role focuses on building resilient, high-throughput microservices and supporting mission-critical platforms that operate at enterprise scale. The engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to modernize legacy systems, improve system reliability, and support real-time customer-facing services.

Responsibilities:

Design and develop Java-based microservices using modern frameworks and architectural best practices. Build and maintain RESTful APIs and event-driven services supporting high-volume, low-latency workloads. Contribute to cloud-native application deployments using containerization and orchestration technologies. Implement resiliency patterns, observability, and monitoring to ensure system stability and performance. Lead technical decisions, participate in code reviews, and mentor team members while remaining hands-on. Troubleshoot production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and deliver long-term fixes. Collaborate closely with DevOps, security, QA, and product teams in an Agile environment. Document system designs, API specifications, and operational runbooks.

Required Skills & Experience:

10+ years of professional software engineering experience with strong Java and object-oriented design fundamentals. Extensive experience building microservices using Spring Boot and related frameworks. Experience with distributed systems, streaming or messaging platforms (e.g., Kafka or similar), and API-based architectures. Strong understanding of cloud platforms, containers, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices. Proven experience supporting production systems and handling incident response. Strong communication skills and ability to work across multiple teams.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with cloud platforms (Azure or AWS), Kubernetes, and infrastructure automation. Knowledge of NoSQL and relational databases such as Cassandra, PostgreSQL, or Oracle. Exposure to authentication, security, or high-regulation environments. Experience with system design for scalability, resiliency, and fault tolerance.
