Job Description ECS is seeking a
UNIX/LINUX System Engineer - Senior to work in our
Washington, DC - Hybrid office.
Please Note: This position is contingent upon contract award. ECS is seeking a Senior UNIX/Linux System Engineer to manage and modernize the SEC's Linux server infrastructure while playing a critical role in enabling the agency's AI and automation initiatives. Linux is the foundation for the vast majority of modern cloud, containerization, and AI/ML platforms, and this role is central to building and maintaining the systems that will power the SEC's next-generation capabilities.
Beyond traditional Linux administration, this role requires an engineer who can automate everything-server provisioning, configuration management, patching, compliance scanning, and incident remediation. You will implement infrastructure-as-code for the Linux estate, build CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure changes, and support the deployment of containerized workloads and AI/ML platforms that run on Linux. If you believe in the principle that if you have to do it twice, you should automate it, this role is for you.
