Summary

Job Number: R0237434

System Administrator
The Opportunity:

Your combination of people skills and system administrator expertise makes you the team hero, solving one problem after another. What if you could use those skills to improve the technology supporting the Air Force? We're looking for a system administrator to support enterprise infrastructure operations within a secure and critical environment to help us deliver cross domain capabilities supporting Department of War missions.

As a system administrator on our project, you'll be responsible for the administration, security, and optimization of virtualized systems, Windows workstations, cross-domain components, and ensuring alignment with DoW cybersecurity standards and overall infrastructure integrity. The position also requires proactively identifying, assessing, and remediating system vulnerabilities across the enterprise. You'll provide your customers insight into their network through monitoring and performance management.

Your system administrator expertise will be vital as you identify problem areas and opportunities for improvement in a critical network. You'll help your team better understand the network by turning metrics into information and explaining their meaning.

This is an opportunity to broaden your skillset into areas like cross domain solutions, as well as leverage hands-on experience with VMware virtualization platforms, ACAS-based vulnerability management, and STIG implementation, as well as an opportunity to demonstrate strong foundation in system hardening and day-to-day operational support. We focus on growing as a team, so you'll share your expertise through leadership and mentoring as you help the team work through challenges and develop new methodologies. As a system administrator leader, you'll identify new opportunities to modernize the network, so your clients achieve their goals. Work with us and resolve daily challenges as we continue to deliver a cross-domain capability to the Air Force supporting real-world missions.

Join us. The world can't wait.

You Have:
  • 5+ years of experience administering and maintaining VMware vSphere, ESXi, or vCenter environments
  • 5+ years of experience conducting vulnerability scanning, analysis, and remediation using ACAS and Nessus
  • Experience performing system provisioning, configuration, patching, and lifecycle management
  • Experience with accreditation activities, such as RMF, STIG checklists, or POA&Ms and applying and validating STIGs across Windows or Linux systems, as well as network components
  • Ability to interpret ACAS scan results and prioritize or resolve findings in accordance with RMF guidelines
  • Ability to perform system hardening, ensure compliance with security policies and controls, and collaborate with cybersecurity, network, and engineering teams to resolve issues and implement improvements
  • Ability to troubleshoot system, performance, and connectivity issues across enterprise environments and maintain system documentation, baselines, and configuration standards
  • Top Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in IT, computer science, or computer systems
  • CompTIA Security+ Certification

Nice If You Have:
  • Experience with Linux administration, such as RHEL preferred
  • Experience supporting cross-domain or multi-security domain environments
  • Experience in DoW and classified environments
  • Knowledge of enterprise authentication services

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Top Secret clearance is required.
