Description
We are looking for a skilled Systems Administrator to join our team in San Antonio, Texas. This Contract to permanent position offers an opportunity to manage and optimize complex computer systems while supporting organizational goals. The ideal candidate will bring technical expertise, project management skills, and a strong understanding of IT security best practices.
Responsibilities:
Administer and maintain systems such as Active Directory, Windows Server, and Microsoft Entra ID to ensure seamless operations.
Oversee virtualization environments, including ESX, and manage storage solutions like NetApp and SAN technologies.
Implement backup solutions using tools like Rubrik to safeguard organizational data.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver technical guidance and resolve system-related issues.
Monitor system performance and perform regular updates to maintain compliance with IT security standards.
Plan and execute complex computer system tasks in alignment with company policies and procedures.
Provide technical expertise and project management support for system implementations and upgrades.
Ensure system availability and reliability by proactively identifying and addressing potential risks.
Maintain documentation and create reports to track system configurations and performance metrics.
Build and sustain positive relationships with coworkers and stakeholders to facilitate smooth operations.
Requirements
Minimum of six years of experience in server administration and virtualization technologies.
Proficiency in Active Directory, Windows Server, and Microsoft Azure environments.
Strong knowledge of IT security practices and regulatory compliance standards.
Experience with storage solutions like NetApp and SAN technologies.
Certifications such as Microsoft Certified SysOps Administrator or equivalent are preferred.
Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred, but relevant work experience may be considered.
Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively while adhering to organizational policies.
