Job Title: Python Developer
Location: Charlotte, NC
Work Arrangement: Hybrid
Client Industry: Fortune 500 Tech Client
Duration: 12-18 Months Contract
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 AM 5 PM local time
About the Role**
We are seeking a skilled software engineer to design and build horizontally scalable components within a major platform. This role involves becoming a subject matter expert on the code deployed on our platform and supporting other developers. You will be a key contributor to the core platform, writing reusable and extendable code, and consistently working to simplify our software.
**Responsibilities**
- Design and build scalable components for the platform.
- Review code and provide feedback on best practices, focusing on performance and stability.
- Support other developers by sharing expertise on the platform's code.
- Write reusable and extendable code as a core contributor.
- Continuously work to simplify and improve the software.
- Challenge yourself and peers to enhance skills and performance.
**Education Qualification**
- Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science or Math.
**Required Skills**
- Expertise in functional and object-oriented programming, specifically in Python.
- Experience with databases, including NoSQL databases.
- Strong knowledge of algorithms and data structures.
- Experience in building distributed, scalable services and robust microservices.
- Proficiency in writing unit tests using pytest or unittest.
- Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automation.
- Strong sense of ownership, urgency, and drive.
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and a passion for learning and problem-solving.
Compensation
Hourly Rate: $60 $65 per hour
This range reflects base compensation and may vary based on location, market conditions, experience, and candidate qualifications.
