Network Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Fulton, MD that is seeking a Network Engineer.

Responsibilities:
* Manage, monitor, and troubleshoot Cisco Meraki network environments
* Administer and support Meraki wireless infrastructure across multiple locations
* Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Palo Alto firewalls, including security policies, NAT, and VPN connectivity
* Support Cisco switching infrastructure, including VLANs, routing, and network segmentation
* Participate in network upgrades, refreshes, and future wireless modernization initiatives
* Respond to network incidents and collaborate with the NOC to resolve issues efficiently
* Join Webex troubleshooting sessions with internal teams and vendors as needed
* Perform network performance analysis, capacity planning, and optimization
* Maintain network documentation, diagrams, and operational procedures
* Assist with infrastructure projects and provide cross-functional technical support when required
* Participate in on-call support and incident response activities, as needed

REQUIREMENTS:
* 3+ years of network engineering or network administration experience
* Experience supporting Cisco Meraki networking solutions
* Hands-on experience with Meraki Wireless
* Strong knowledge of Cisco switching technologies
* Experience administering Palo Alto firewalls
* Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, and routing concepts
* Experience troubleshooting complex network connectivity issues
* Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with technical teams during live support sessions

Preferred Qualifications:
* Cisco CCNA, CCNP, Meraki, or Palo Alto certifications
* Experience with Cisco wireless upgrades and network modernization projects
* Exposure to network monitoring and management tools
* Experience working closely with a Network Operations Center (NOC)
* Experience supporting multi-site enterprise environments

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
