Senior Network Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in NYC that is seeking a Senior Network Engineer.

Responsibilities:
* Support and operate a large-scale Cisco enterprise network environment
* Troubleshoot and maintain Cisco SDA fabric deployments and Catalyst Center infrastructure
* Administer and support Cisco ISE services, including authentication, authorization, profiling, and network access policies
* Support high-density enterprise and healthcare wireless environments
* Manage Cisco Nexus data center networking solutions leveraging VXLAN/EVPN architectures
* Configure, troubleshoot, and support Cisco Secure Firewall technologies
* Participate in major incident response efforts and serve as a technical lead during P1 network outages
* Conduct root cause analysis and drive long-term remediation efforts
* Collaborate with infrastructure, security, cloud, and application teams
* Follow operational processes and change management procedures using ServiceNow
* Participate in a 24x7 support model, including on-call responsibilities

Perform advanced troubleshooting related to:
* Wireless connectivity
* RF optimization
* Client roaming
* Performance issues

REQUIREMENTS:
* Strong hands-on experience with Cisco Software-Defined Access (SDA)
* Experience administering and troubleshooting Cisco Catalyst Center (DNA Center)
* Strong experience supporting large-scale Cisco routing and switching environments

Strong expertise with Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE), including:
* Authentication & Authorization
* Endpoint Profiling
* Network Access Control
* Endpoint Onboarding
* Extensive experience supporting large Cisco enterprise environments
* Hands-on experience with Cisco Catalyst 9800 Wireless Controllers
* Strong enterprise wireless troubleshooting skills
* Experience with Cisco Secure Firewall technologies

Strong understanding of Cisco Nexus Data Center technologies, including:
* VXLAN
* EVPN
* Nexus Dashboard Fabric Controller (NDFC)

Additional Technical Experience:
* Cisco Catalyst 9130/916x Access Points
* BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP routing protocols
* Azure networking and ExpressRoute connectivity
* Hybrid cloud networking
* ServiceNow incident, change, and operational workflows
* Network performance monitoring and troubleshooting
* Root cause analysis and incident management

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
