Job Description
We are seeking an IT Application Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in supporting vendor-supported healthcare applications, clinical workflows, and healthcare data standards, and a proven ability to analyze, design, test, and implement solutions that improve clinical and business operations.
Responsibilities:
- Support software programs or modules across clinical and business functions.
- Analyze, design, test, and implement system changes and integrations.
- Resolve customer issues, manage enhancement requests, and validate solutions against requirements.
- Elicit and document requirements using structured techniques and validate completeness and accuracy with stakeholders.
- Function as a liaison among clinical, business, and technical teams during planning and delivery.
- Configure, design, develop, or modify applications using vendor and internal tools, ensuring data integrity.
- Build credibility and rapport with customers and manage small to mid-sized projects.
- Contribute to software testing activities and support validation efforts.
- Provide 24/7 on-call support as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Health Informatics, Information Systems, Nursing, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years supporting clinical applications in hospital or healthcare environments.
- Experience with vendor-supported healthcare software solutions.
- Understanding of inpatient clinical workflows.
- Knowledge of healthcare privacy and security requirements, including HIPAA.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience supporting telehealth or virtual care platforms.
- Familiarity with EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner and clinical integrations.
- Experience with HL7, FHIR, or healthcare interface engines.
- Clinical background (e.g., RN, allied health) or strong clinical informatics experience.
- ITIL Foundation or experience with IT service management frameworks.
