SAP BTP Track Lead (CPI Integration Experience Required)

Job Summary

• Own the end-to-end technical design, architecture, and delivery of ABAP on HANA developments on S/4HANA across RICEFW, custom Fiori applications, and BTP integration scenarios.
• Lead solution design workshops with client architects and functional consultants; produce HLD, LLD, and technical design documents.
• Design and develop HANA-optimized ABAP using CDS Views, AMDPs, OData services (SEGW and RAP-based), and the RESTful ABAP Programming Model (RAP).
• Lead the design and development of custom Fiori applications.
• Develop solutions using SAPUI5, Fiori Elements (List Report, Object Page, Overview Page), and the Flexible Programming Model.
• Design, configure, deploy, and manage Fiori Launchpad and related authorizations.
• Manage the complete Fiori application lifecycle, including frontend development, OData backend services, security, and deployment to ABAP/HANA or SAP BTP.
• Design and deliver SAP BTP solutions, including:
  • Side-by-side and in-app extensions using CAP (Cloud Application Programming Model).
  • Integration using SAP Integration Suite (CPI), API Management, and Event Mesh.
  • Utilization of BTP Destination Service, Connectivity Service, XSUAA, and Business Application Studio (BAS).
• Define and enforce development standards, clean core principles, and SAP extensibility approaches including key-user, developer, and side-by-side extensions.
• Conduct code reviews, design reviews, and performance optimization using SQL Monitor, Runtime Analysis, Code Inspector, and ATC.
• Lead and mentor ABAP, Fiori, and BTP development teams across distributed delivery environments.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, business analysts, and enterprise architects to gather requirements, resolve technical issues, and present technical solutions.
• Govern development processes using CI/CD pipelines, abapGit, Transport Management Service (TMS), and Cloud ALM/Solution Manager.
• Provide technical leadership by reviewing designs, setting standards, and resolving cross-team escalations.
• Stay current with SAP roadmap innovations including ABAP Cloud (Steampunk), RAP, SAP BTP, Joule, and AI Foundation, and recommend adoption where appropriate.

• 10+ years of total SAP experience with a strong hands-on ABAP development background and CPI integration experience.
• Minimum 4+ years of hands-on ABAP on HANA experience.
• Experience leading at least two end-to-end S/4HANA implementations as a Technical Lead.
• Deep expertise in:
  • CDS Views, including annotations, associations, parameters, table functions, and extensions.
  • AMDPs, HANA code pushdown, and performance tuning.
  • RAP including managed and unmanaged scenarios, draft handling, and business objects.
  • SAP Gateway and OData service development (V2 and V4).
• Strong hands-on experience developing custom Fiori applications using:
  • SAPUI5
  • Fiori Elements
  • Flexible Programming Model
  • Fiori Launchpad configuration, deployment, and authorizations
  • Fiori app extensions, Smart Templates, and Smart Controls
• Strong working knowledge of at least one S/4HANA functional area such as FI/CO, MM, SD, or PP from a developer s perspective.
