Role: Full-Stack AI Mobile Engineer
Location: Multiple location: CA/NY/Canada
Full time: Onsite role
About the Role
Our client is looking for a Full-Stack AI Mobile Engineer to join as their Founding Engineer, with the opportunity to grow into a Founding CTO role over time.
This is not a traditional engineering position. You’ll be the second technical voice in the room — the person responsible for turning ambitious product ideas into reality while helping define how the company builds for the next decade.
The ideal candidate is deeply technical, product-minded, AI-native, and thrives in fast-moving startup environments.
What You’ll Do
· Build and scale an AI-native consumer mobile application from 0→1
· You’re fluent in React Native and comfortable owning the full mobile lifecycle: build, release, debug, monitor, iterate.
· You’ve built with Claude (or other frontier models) in production — prompts, tool use, evals, the works.
· You can move across the stack — frontend, backend, infra, AI — and you don’t flinch.
· You’ve worked or can learn HealthKit, sensor data, or wearable APIs and you understand how messy biosignals actually are.
· You’re a founder, in your bones. You don’t need a ticket to start working. You see a gap and close it.
Bonus points
· Background or deep interest in nervous system science, somatics, neuroscience, or trauma research.
· You’ve been the first engineer somewhere before — and you know what that actually costs.
· You’ve built AI-powered testing or eval pipelines and have strong opinions about them.
AI-native at every layer.
· React Native (iOS-first, Android close behind)
· Claude-based architecture — agentic workflows, tool use, structured outputs
· AI-powered QA testing (think: agents that test agents)
· IOS / HealthKit + wearable integrations — HRV, Apple Watch, Oura, Whoop, EEG headbands
· Backend: Node or Python, Postgres, modern infra (Vercel / Fly / Render — your call)
· AI-native infrastructure — every layer of the stack is a place where AI lives, not a place where AI is bolted on
