Job Title: Maximo Consultant
Location: Pontiac, MI – Onsite
Duration: 6 months
Experience Required: 8–10 years
Key Skills: EIS – Maximo Functional

Required Qualifications
Proven experience launching Maximo 9.0, with a strong understanding of implementation runbooks and best practices for leveraging Maximo features. Extensive experience in administrative functions for Maximo (MAS 9.0). Ability to train and guide local Denso, MSR (Mexico Sub-Region), and NSR (North Sub-Region) resources on Maximo administrative functions. Able to support North America locations across the United States, Mexico, and Canada (Eastern, Central, and Mountain time zones). Demonstrated ability to work within cross-functional teams. Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills. A valid passport is required, as this role may involve travel outside the United States.
Responsibilities
Pre-Migration: Identify configurations, customizations, workflows, integrations, and data objects for migration. Validate that the source Maximo instance meets IBM and business requirements, including supported versions, database readiness, and regional compliance. Coordinate contract, licensing, infrastructure, and connectivity provisioning across regions. Document migration steps, timelines, and resource allocation, and communicate with stakeholders. Address security, compliance, and regulatory requirements. Collaborate with IT, Maximo Regional Leads, IBM, and cloud service providers to coordinate and provision required resources.
Migration: Supervise database exports, customization archive creation, and file accessibility. Deploy MAS using operators, custom resources, and automated scripts for each region. Monitor migration progress, resolve issues, track changes, and report exceptions. Lead user acceptance, workflow, reporting, and integration testing for migrated regions. Document migration steps, train users, and support cut-over to the new MAS environment. Confirm security, disaster recovery, and licensing settings post-migration.
Go-Live and Stabilization: Review Maximo logs, crontasks, and integration queues for failures or delays; monitor integration points and reprocess failed transactions as needed. Perform database health checks (index refresh, query monitoring) to keep job plans, PMs, and work orders running efficiently. Manage user accounts and roles as staff or contractors change, and audit user group memberships for proper segregation of duties. Run data integrity reports on work orders, assets, and inventory to catch duplicate or orphan records. Validate that weekly Preventive Maintenance and Job Plan schedules align with actual capacity using the Graphical Work Week and Graphical Scheduling Dashboard, adjusting allocations as needed. Review weekly KPIs for work order throughput, SLA compliance, and backlog aging, and summarize findings in a weekly report for the Regional Ops Manager and corporate EAM Lead.
Post-Migration Support: Address post-migration issues and ensure ongoing system stability. Continuously monitor system performance and availability to proactively resolve issues and prevent downtime. Provide ongoing support and training to end users. Analyze system usage and feedback to optimize workflows and improve the user experience. Manage and update system configurations, automation scripts, workflows, and integrations as business needs evolve. Perform regular data audits and optimize database performance. Leverage AI and predictive analytics tools within Maximo to improve maintenance strategies and asset management. Maintain security settings and access controls in compliance with company policy and regulatory requirements. Plan and execute system upgrades, patches, and fixes. Collaborate with NAITS/NAITDC teams, business units, and external vendors to align Maximo''s capabilities with organizational goals.
