Job Description
We are looking for a Senior Hogan IDS Mainframe Engineer to support our client’s ongoing development initiatives. This is a staff augmentation role where the consultant will work closely with the client team and follow day-to-day direction from client stakeholders. The role requires deep expertise in Hogan IDS along with strong mainframe engineering capabilities to support mission-critical banking systems and modernization efforts.
Key Responsibilities
Provide hands-on development support for the Hogan IDS platform
Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle, including technical design, coding, unit testing, advanced testing support, and production migration
Support core banking functions, specifically DDA (Demand Deposit Accounts) and TDA (Time Deposit Accounts)
Develop, enhance, and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, VSAM, and CICS
Work with PCDs, CA-7 scheduling, and API integrations within the mainframe ecosystem
Support and enhance integration between Hogan IDS and external platforms such as Zafin
Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in production and non-production environments
Support mainframe batch/file processing and ensure operational stability
Participate in Business Continuity Planning (BCP) exercises and implementation
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact solutions aligned with modernization initiatives
Required Skills & Experience
Mandatory: Proven, hands-on experience with Hogan IDS
10+ years of experience in Hogan/Mainframe development environments
Strong technical expertise in COBOL, JCL, VSAM, CICS
Solid understanding of mainframe processing, scheduling (CA-7), and APIs
Experience with software design, SDLC, and development methodologies
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in high-criticality systems
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Nice to Have
Experience with other Hogan modules, especially Hogan CIS
Experience integrating Hogan systems with Zafin or similar vendor platforms
Exposure to core banking systems and modernization programs
