Understanding of MES integration with ERP, LIMS, automation systems, barcode systems, label printing, reporting systems, and shopfloor devices is preferred.
Ability to manage MES governance at site level, including priorities, open issues, changes, risks, decisions, and support readiness.
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Site MES IT Coordinator to support Manufacturing Execution System (MES) implementation, site readiness, go-live, hypercare, and ongoing production support within a manufacturing environment.
The ideal candidate will serve as the primary site-level IT coordination point between manufacturing operations, Quality, MSAT, Validation, site IT, Global MES teams, Infrastructure, ERP, offshore development teams, vendors, and implementation partners.
This role requires a strong understanding of MES platforms, manufacturing processes, site IT operations, and cross-functional project coordination. The candidate will drive requirements clarification, business process alignment, site readiness, issue resolution, compliance documentation, and MES governance throughout the system lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
1. MES Implementation and Project Coordination
Act as the primary site-level IT coordinator for MES implementation and support activities.
Coordinate the complete MES lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, configuration, testing, training, go-live, hypercare, and transition to steady-state support.
Collaborate with Operations, Quality, MSAT, Validation, Infrastructure, ERP, Global MES, and offshore delivery teams.
Track project milestones, action items, risks, issues, dependencies, decisions, and site readiness activities.
Facilitate functional and technical discussions between site stakeholders, global teams, vendors, and implementation partners.
Coordinate project updates, status reporting, escalations, and stakeholder communications.
2. MES Requirements and Business Process Alignment
Gather and document site-specific business requirements, user needs, process gaps, and operational constraints.
Support business process reengineering and align site processes with global MES templates and standardized ways of working.
Facilitate discussions between business users and technical teams to clarify requirements and resolve functional gaps.
Coordinate change requests, impact assessments, and process improvement initiatives.
Ensure MES solutions support practical shopfloor operations and manufacturing business needs.
3. Site Readiness and Go-Live Support
Coordinate site readiness activities for MES implementation and deployment.
Verify readiness of infrastructure, network connectivity, user access, shopfloor devices, printers, barcode scanners, terminals, and system interfaces.
Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT), integration testing, defect tracking, and issue closure.
Support training planning, end-user readiness, go-live preparation, cutover activities, and hypercare.
Facilitate knowledge transfer and ensure a smooth transition from project implementation to operational support.
4. MES Production Support and Issue Management
Coordinate L2/L3 support activities for MES applications and related site systems.
Log, prioritize, track, and escalate MES incidents based on business impact, urgency, and operational risk.
Work with Global MES, application support, infrastructure, ERP, and offshore teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
Monitor open tickets, recurring incidents, support dependencies, and resolution timelines.
Ensure timely communication with manufacturing stakeholders to minimize disruptions to shopfloor operations.
Identify recurring issues, support gaps, and training needs to improve system reliability and user experience.
