Senior Solutions Architect – Healthcare Interoperability (Remote)
Expertise: FHIR, Da Vinci (CRD, DTR, PAS), ePA, Payer Integrations, Epic/Cerner/Oracle/Meditech
Overview
We are seeking a Senior Solutions Architect (Remote) with deep expertise in healthcare interoperability, prior authorization automation, and enterprise-scale healthcare integrations. This role requires hands-on experience designing solutions with payers, EHR vendors (Epic, Cerner, Oracle Health/OHPAC, Meditech), and health-tech platforms using FHIR, Da Vinci use cases, and X12 modernization.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead architecture for distributed teams building interoperability solutions using FHIR R4/R5, REST APIs, HL7 standards, and Da Vinci IGs (CRD, DTR, PAS).
• Architect scalable, production-grade integrations with payers, EHR systems (Epic, Cerner, Oracle OHPAC, Meditech), and health-tech vendors.
• Design interoperability workflows for CRD, DTR, PAS, and electronic Prior Authorization (ePA).
• Map traditional X12/EDI transactions (278, 270/271, 837, 275) into modern API-driven FHIR workflows.
• Produce architectural artifacts, including integration patterns, system diagrams, reference architectures, and roadmap recommendations.
• Partner with engineering, product, payers, EHR vendors, and regulatory stakeholders.
• Translate CMS, ONC, and payer interoperability mandates into technical requirements.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance, privacy, and secure exchange across remote teams.
Required Qualifications
• 8+ years in healthcare technology, integration, or solution architecture.
• Experience with payers and EHR vendors (Epic, Cerner, Oracle OHPAC, Meditech).
• Strong experience with FHIR APIs, profiling, IGs, and Smart-on-FHIR.
• Deep understanding of Da Vinci CRD, DTR, and PAS.
• Expertise with X12/ASC transactions.
• Strong cloud-native, microservices, and API gateway design experience.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with HAPI, Smile CDR, or Firely.
• Participation in HL7, Da Vinci, or WEDI groups.
• Knowledge of CDS Hooks and EHR workflow integration.
