Advanced proficiency with Microsoft 365, especially Word and SharePoint, plus Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and related collaboration tools. 4. Strong proficiency with Microsoft Visio for technical diagrams, workflows, process maps, and supporting visuals. 5. Demonstrated experience producing SOPs, runbooks, system documentation, operational procedures, knowledge articles, or comparable technical deliverables. 6. Strong editing, information-architecture, document-organization, formatting, and quality-control skills. 7. Ability to work directly with technical SMEs across infrastructure, applications, service delivery, cybersecurity, or similar IT disciplines. | PREFERRED SKILLS (RANK IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE): 1. REQUIRED EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in Technical Communication, English, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field, OR equivalent relevant professional experience. Demonstrated experience and quality of prior work are more important than a specific certification. | PREFERRED EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS: Certified Professional Technical Communicator (CPTC), ITIL Foundation, or comparable technical-writing/IT certification. Certifications are preferred but will not substitute for demonstrated experience and an excellent portfolio. |
INTERVIEW PROCESS: Resume and portfolio review followed by one panel interview with IT leadership and key subject-matter experts. Candidates should provide 2-3 sanitized examples of prior technical documentation, preferably including SOPs, runbooks, technical/process documentation, recovery documentation, diagrams, or comparable work.
